The four ranks of melody pipes are: single bourdon; celeste bourdon; loud open flute; and a bright octave. With these four stops there are many nice combinations possible, allowing the player to put a lot of personal expression into the performance.
The picture on the front is an original photo of the Flying Scotsman steam engine by David Eatwell, although it can of course be changed very easily.
This is a newly-finished organ and I would expect the buyer to try before parting with cash - and I also offer my usual after sale backup.
This is a 26-note paper roll playing hand-turned organ.
Made to the John Smith Universal design, the main working parts were expertly built by a very skilled engineer using the best materials. I took over the project and did all the final voicing, adjustments, built the front 39 melody pipes, and completed the casing-up. There are 70 pipes - including four ranks of melody pipes controlled by hand-operated stops.
Another nice feature of this organ is the fully ball-bearing triple-throw crankshaft which gives a smooth easy turn.
